Keto Paratha/Naan-Keto recipe 1

So here comes my few of the Keto recipes which I relish eating during this healthy way of living

Keto Paratha or Coconut Flour Naan

Ingredients(would make 2 naans):

  • Coconut Flour: 30gms
  • Psyllium Husk Powder: 5gms
  • Baking Powder: ¼  tsp
  • Pink Rock Salt: ¼ tsp
  • Desi Ghee or Coconut Oil-1tablespoon for cooking

Nutritional facts: per 2 Naans

Protein 2gms
Carbs 13gms
Net Carbs 3gms (carbs minus fiber)
Fat 17gms

Instructions

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients
  2. Heat the water for 30 seconds in the microwave and add little by little warm water to the dry Ingredients.
  3. Form a dough and let sit for 10 minutes.
  4. Cut the dough into 2 parts.
  5. Roll out one part of the dough between two sheets of parchment paper.
  6. Put the flat naan on the heated tawa/pan. Let it cook on low flame.
  7. Add some desi ghee/over the naan
  8. Wait for one side to cook completely before flipping.  If you find the naan breaking when you try to flip it, let it cook for some more time before you attempt again.
  9. Fry on both sides till golden brown.
  10. Serve it with any curry you want.

You can go creative with the recipe adding ajwain or cut green chilli or methi(fresh fenugreek leaves)

Don’t try to substitute almond flour for the coconut flour; it won’t work.

Psyllium husk is essential to the recipe. Ground flaxseed won’t bind the dough and won’t work the same way, so it’s not a good substitute.

The water has to be warm when added to the flour to dissolve psyllium husk properly.

So never miss your Roti, Chapati or paratha. enjoy

  1. Coconut and psyllium husk both absorb water
Start adding 50ml and then again 50ml.
Just make a soft dough like a pizza dough
    Then it can be rolled
